[x+1] Buys UberTags

February 20 2013

New York-based online audience targeting firm [x+1] has acquired tag management company UberTags, in order to expand its Origin data management platform (DMP). Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Jeremy BiegerUberTags has developed a cloud-based system to manage web site tags, providing analytics, retargeting and marketing conversion tracking. The firm says users can deploy conversion tags on their web pages and deliver analytics and retargeting across every page of their site in minutes.

As part of the deal, [x+1] will integrate UberTags into its own Origin platform, for improved tag visibility, web performance, and more accurate attribution. UberTags founder and CEO Jeremy Bieger (pictured) will join [x+1] as Vice President of Client Solutions, responsible for overseeing the integration.

David Skinner, [x+1] SVP of Business and Corporate Development, comments: 'The company's technology was hands down the strongest we saw. Its architecture is compatible with ours, because the tags can support data collection and outbound decisions. It is a very strong addition to the Origin DMP and one that supports our overall digital marketing hub strategy.'
