CMI Appoints Lunde and Retzer to Leadership Team

In the US, full service agency CMI has appointed industry veterans Brian Lunde - to lead its Customer Experience practice - and Joe Retzer to oversee the Advanced Analytics team.

CMI was founded in 1989 and in addition to analytical services and technologies, offers a full range of qual and quant research for clients in consumer and B2B markets.

Lunde joins from Ipsos, where he served as SVP of the Financial Services Loyalty practice. Prior to this he was EVP Business Development and CMO at Hansa|GCR, and SVP of Loyalty Business Development and Marketing at Synovate. Earlier, he served as CMO at International Survey Research (ISR), oversaw business development at SPSS, was Director of Energy and Communication Services N.A. at JD Power & Associates, and was SVP at Walker Information.

Retzer was most recently VP of Advanced Analytics at MarketTools, before which he worked for the American Statistical Association, was a Director of Marketing Sciences at Maritz Research, and Director of Product Development at Market Probe. He has also lectured at University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee for the past 27 years.

Lunde will consult with CMI clients to identify their information needs and to design bespoke solutions, while Retzer will lead the firm's Advanced Analytics team, drawing upon statistical techniques he has developed during his career. Both will join CMI's Innovation team.
