Strong First Half for BrainJuicer

September 20 2013

Leading edge UK-based agency BrainJuicer has announced Interim Results for the six months ended 30th June, with revenue up 4% to £10.8m, and operating profit up 81% to £1.3m.

John KearonGrowth in key markets, the UK and USA, was strong, and the company announced that it would return just over £1.5m of cash to shareholders via a special dividend of 12p per share. BrainJuicer has around £5.5m in cash, and no debt. Growth continues to be entirely organic, and 73% of the total overhead costs of £7.15m are 'people costs'.

Founder and 'Chief Juicer' John Kearon commented: 'This has been an encouraging all round first half performance. The combination of resumed revenue growth, against a strong comparative period, and lower costs has delivered a very strong profits increase.' Kearon said there had been 'good underlying progress in client acquisition, Juice Generation and in Brazil' (revenue in the latter market increased by 50%), and concluded that he believes the firm is on track to meet market profit expectations for the full year.
