Polk Launches 'World's Largest' Aftermarket Resource

October 11 2013

Automotive market intelligence firm Polk has launched what it claims is the world's largest and most complete resource for vehicle aftermarket research.

Mark SengPolk, which was recently acquired by US information and analytics firm IHS Inc, offers a vehicle history information service called CARFAX, along with market data, analysis and tools for a broad range of automotive areas.

The firm's new 'WorldView' solution integrates data from several Polk products, including its Vehicles in Operation (VIO) platform, forecasted vehicle population information, and European original equipment (OE) parts research. Polk says this will enable business planners to analyze global part demand, while supporting decisions relating to cataloguing, inventory planning and part production for the light and commercial vehicle aftermarket.

Mark Seng (pictured), VP of Polk's Global Aftermarket Practice, comments: 'This comprehensive solution enables our global customers in the light vehicle and commercial aftermarket to access resources that can help them address market needs based on more robust market intelligence and easier access to information.'
