ForeSee Founder Sets Up Growth Advisory Firm

ForeSee Results founder Larry Freed and a number of his former exec team have launched a new company called 2nd Stage Partners, advising recently launched companies on how to grow.

Freed (pictured) left analytics specialist Foresee Results in January, shortly after it was acquired by Q&A platform Answers.com in a deal valued at more than $200m. His new firm, which has been co-founded with former colleagues Cia McCaffrey, Dave Scott and Aaron Watson, will assess companies' readiness for growth through appraisal of their sales and marketing, technology, product management, human capital, and go-to-market strategy. Following this assessment, 2nd Stage will pinpoint the most 'capital-efficient' actions, provide skills to complement existing teams, and help accelerate growth. Its team will serve as mentors or coaches to existing staff, or as interim members of the executive team in key identified areas.
