ISG Maintains Profitability Despite Revenue Dip

August 8 2014

US-based holding company Information Services Group (ISG) has announced results for the second quarter and first half ended June 30th, with revenues down 3% year-on-year in constant currency, at $54.9m.

Michael P. ConnorsEuropean operations did better, with a 3% rise to $21.4m, and Asia Pacific very well with a 7% rise to $5.8m, but the largest region, the Americas, saw an 8% decline to $27.7m (all at constant currency). Overall net income rose from $2.4m to $3.1m, and adjusted EBITDA rose 6% (constant currency) to $7.0m.

The results are not dissimilar to those for the first quarter, announced three months ago today, with an overall revenue decline of 5%, 'though the contrast between European growth (up 15%) and slides in the Americas (down 14-15%) was stronger then. Significantly, the company had a record year in 2013 so comparisons are tough, and essentially the firm has consolidated its recovery after two poor years in 2009 and 2010.

The group's capabilities include outsourcing advisory services, benchmarking and analytics and public sector consulting - the three companies acquired with these specialisms were combined under the ISG brand in 2012.

Chairman and CEO Michael P. Connors (pictured) pointed to 'strong demand trends and a replenished new business pipeline', and stated: 'We continue to build long-term shareholder value, and remain optimistic about the future as we continue to focus on meeting the needs of our clients. Based on our growing pipeline, we reaffirm our guidance for full-year revenues in the range of $215-$225m and adjusted EBITDA of between $23m and $26m.
