WGSN Launches Insight Service for 'Style-Led' Retail

UK-based trend forecasting company WGSN has launched a service called Mindset, offering bespoke consumer insight, market strategy solutions and consultancy services to 'style-led' retailers, brands, designers and supply chains.

Isham SardoukWGSN, which is owned by media giant Top Right (previously known as Emap), uses forecasting, analytics and custom research techniques to study fashion season trends in apparel, accessories and interiors. Last year, the firm acquired Latin American consumer behavior forecasting firm Mindset Communicaco e Marketing, and it has now merged knowledge and expertise from the latter business with its trend forecasting and technology tool Stylesight, to create the new service.

WGSN Mindset will provide consumer insight and market intelligence, identify potential new products, and translate trend forecasting data. Clients will also have access to a dedicated team of consultants, who will tap into data from the company's HOmebuildlife interior design forecasting data; INstock trading information; and Planet Retail consumer panels.
