Market Track Buys Media Iris

In the US, pricing intelligence specialist Market Track has acquired Chicago-based digital media tracking firm Media Iris. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Wayne MinceyMedia Iris monitors online display ads on web sites, SEM activity, and branded content on social media networks. Market Track says the company provides an 'ideal complement' to its existing capabilities, which provide related and overlapping digital media tracking across the same channels. As part of the deal, Michael Ciaglia, President and founder of Media Iris, has joined Market Track to oversee the development of its digital advertising products and services.

Commenting on the acquisition, Market Track CEO Wayne Mincey (pictured) said, 'Media Iris has built an efficient and comprehensive technology solution that marries well with our existing offering as well as the future needs of our clients. We've known and worked with Michael for a number of years and are very pleased to have him join the family.'

This family includes ad tracking specialist Competitrack, acquired in 2013, and eCommerce insight specialist Dynamite Data.
