French company Médiamétrie has become the latest ratings supplier to release a Twitter TV Ratings tool, in partnership with the microblogging leader.
Médiamétrie's unique audience category, which measures one tweet per account, gave the top slot in the week from January 19th to 25th to French channel TF1's talent show The Voice, with 397,000 unique tweets, according to www.advanced-television.com . Last year, Médiamétrie said nearly 50 million viewers watched TV for an average of almost four hours each day in 2014, proving its continuing hold as 'the benchmark media'. The French had on average 6.4 screens per household with computers the second most popular way of watching television.
The firm, which was chosen a year ago as the official technology partner of industry body BARC, for measuring Indian TV, is online at www.mediametrie.com .
