Macromill Appoints CTO and CFO

Japanese-based online specialist Macromill has appointed IBM veteran Kuniko Ogawa as Chief Technology Officer and former General Electric exec Teruaki Kido as Chief Financial Officer.

Macromill offers a proprietary automatic online research system which instantly collects consumer response on products and services, while offering access to its own Japanese panel, and a brand data bank through which it analyses the correlation between consumers and the brands they buy. In 2010, Macromill acquired Yahoo Japan's market research business Yahoo Japan Value Insight; and at the end of last year it merged with Netherlands-based online research and analytics firm MetrixLab under the Macromill brand.

Ogawa comes to the company with more than 25 years' IT experience. Having joined IBM as a Systems Engineer in 1989, she initially led architecture design and the deployment of e-business infrastructure globally. In 2005, she was promoted to the role of Executive Assistant to the General Manager of IBM Asia Pacific, after which she served as VP of Transformation & Operations, and then VP of Strategic Outsourcing Delivery.

Kido joins after eleven years at General Electric, where he served in finance manager roles at GE Capital, and GE Healthcare Asia Pacific. Earlier, he spent eleven years in the banking industry.
