NWC Founder Wayman Leaves ORC

Asia / Pacific Managing Director Greg Wayman is to leave ORC International at the end of the year, and will be replaced by former Nielsen exec Oliver Rust, who joins on November 10th.

Wayman and his partner Paul Chong founded NWC Research in 1993 and sold it to ORC International in 2007, becoming members of its Global Leadership Team. Chong moved to the US but Wayman stayed in Melbourne and has helped drive significant growth in revenues and profitability in the Asia Pacific region. President of the country's research association the AMSRS at the time of the sale, Wayman became a fellow of the society in 2008.

Hong Kong-based Rust will be responsible for the group's offices in Singapore, Hong Kong and Shanghai, with Craig Young, MD of ORC International Australia reporting in to him. He joins the firm's Global Leadership Team and will help lead its partnership with Engine sister companies DeepFocus and MHP.

At Nielsen, he was Global SVP, Financial Services, following time as MD, Hong Kong and in various senior roles in China and Taiwan. He began his MR career with TNS in the UK.
