October 8 2015

In the UK, Research Now co-founder Andrew Cooper and the firm's former Chairman Geoff Westmore have led a $1.5m investment in mobile video MR specialist Voxpopme.

Andrew Cooper and Geoff WestmoreLaunched in 2013 by Dave Carruthers and Andrew Barraclough, Voxpopme is based in Birmingham and London, with additional offices in the US and Asia. The firm offers a smartphone app which adds video questions to quant surveys and allows consumers to provide direct video feedback on brands. In addition, the platform offers features such as sentiment analysis to determine the attitude of the respondent.

Along with Cooper and Westmore, existing shareholders and UK angel investors contributed to the funding round.

Commenting on the news, Carruthers said: 'We are excited to have the support of Andrew and Geoff; their investment represents a strong vote of confidence in our belief that Voxpopme video will become a widely adopted medium across the research industry. This investment will further support our ambition to be the industry standard solution for anyone looking to add video capture with automated analytics to their surveys'.
