Cision Adds Influencer Marketing Tools to PR Edition

October 27 2015

Media intelligence provider Cision has introduced new features to its PR Edition platform, including a range of influencer marketing and global insights tools.

Peter GranatCision, formerly known as Romeike, helps marketing and PR professionals identify key media and influencers - a platform called 'Social Influencer Search' was launched in 2012 - and monitors both traditional and social media. Last year, the firm merged with PR software provider Vocus and then acquired social media listening and engagement software specialist Visible Technologies and UK-based media intelligence firm Gorkana.

With the latest upgrade, Cision has enhanced its influencer profile pages, enabling users to view real-time insights on what contacts are writing about and who they interact with on social media. Users can engage with media contacts directly, plus share and send original content to build deeper relationships with the media. They can also find influencers based on what they're talking about, not just who they are.

In addition, Cision says it has added a range of social media insights solutions, and expanded availability in the UK, Canada and France. It has also introduced an iOS mobile app and a curation service to enable news sharing with internal stakeholders or social media followers.

CEO Peter Granat (pictured) comments: 'Influencer marketing and media insights are now paramount to a PR or marketing professional's success. By bringing together best-in-class solutions from Gorkana into the Cision portfolio, we are continuing to provide the most cutting-edge tools in our ever-evolving industry'.
