Research Now Names New Leadership Team

March 16 2016

Digital data collection specialist Research Now has appointed former WPP exec Gary Laben as Chief Executive Officer, replacing Kurt Knapton who resigned last October. Meanwhile John Rothwell has added the title of President to his existing role as Chief Operating Officer.

Gary Laben and John RothwellLaben joins at the end of the month with more than 25 years' leadership experience. Most recently, he served as CEO of data-driven marketing solutions company KBM Group and as Global Chief Data Officer of direct marketing agency Wunderman - both are WPP companies. He replaces Knapton, who resigned in October for family reasons.

Rothwell, who was Research Now's first employee, has been appointed President and COO, in charge of the company's market-facing functions. He re-joined the company in 2011, in a dual role as EVP of Supply at Research Now, and President of parent firm e-Rewards' portfolio companies. Before this he worked as a Management Consultant at Accenture and Booz Allen Hamilton before serving as President and COO of Ignite Technologies, and as a Strategic Partner with Wellington Associates.

John Civantos, Board member and Managing Partner at Research Now's majority owner Court Square Capital Partners, comments: 'Gary is an executive with substantial demonstrated leadership success; and we are thrilled to have him leading Research Now, along with John Rothwell and the rest our exceptional management team. His experience in growing businesses both organically and through acquisitions will further support Research Now's innovation, customer focus and growth in this dynamic industry'.
