Senior Hire and Promotions for FocusVision

MR tech company FocusVision had appointed former Coca-Cola researcher Dave Singleton to its Board, and promoted Revelation founder Steve August to CMO and Decipher exec Braden Johnstone to SVP of Operations.

Singleton's 25 years in marketing and consumer insight include the development of proprietary research methods for brand positioning and segmented purchasing. He is currently Managing Partner at Red Phone Marketing, and worked previously as Managing Principal of the Zyman Group, Director of Worldwide Research at Coca-Cola, and in various roles at Kraft and Johnson & Johnson.

FocusVision CEO Jamin Brazil comments: 'Dave brings a wealth of strategic and tactical research experience to FocusVision, and we are proud to have him on our Board of Directors. His expertise will be a significant component in our efforts to continually innovate and lead the field of market research technology'.

August (pictured) joined the company in 2014 when it acquired his firm Revelation Global. Revelation developed qual research software for web and mobile platforms, along with a text visualization and visual search tool called Word Trees - and now functions as one of FocusVision's brands alongside quant MR tech offering Decipher and others.

Johnstone worked for Decipher for almost a dozen years before its acquisition, and is a research technologist who has worked at Hall & Partners, eBay, PayPal, Nielsen, Ipsos, Frank N. Magid & Associates and Skype.
