WPP Rolls Out 'The Store' to ANZ Market

December 14 2016

WPP AUNZ has rolled out the group's integrated retail practice The Store to the Australia and New Zealand market, and named Rob Draper as its CEO. With existing offices in the UK and US, The Store brings together shopper marketing resources from WPP companies around the world.

Rob DraperWPP AUNZ was formed following the marcoms giant's acquisition of a controlling stake in STW Communications. The introduction of The Store is intended to offer regional clients a resource across areas such as shopper and retail customer insights, category understanding, return on investment and analytics, path to purchase planning, packaging analysis and retail store design.

Draper (pictured) was previously CEO of WPP's brand activation agency Geometry Global, which has expertise in shopper, digital, experiential, relationship, promotional and trade marketing. Before this, he was MD of the group's retail marketing agency Barrows Asia Pacific.

WPP AUNZ CEO Mike Connaghan comments: 'For many businesses, managing multiple agencies with different areas of speciality within this environment of disruption can prove cumbersome and a drain on resources. The Store streamlines this process, offering a bespoke solution to each client, drawing in experts from across any number of WPP AUNZ's agencies to be managed under one central location, and one client contact'.
