In-store Data Firm Walkbase Opens in Dubai

Helsinki-based retail Internet of Things analytics and marketing platform Walkbase has opened an office in Dubai.

Walkbase's cloud-based platform gathers data from in-store Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, cameras and point-of-sale material, and combines it with customer relationship marketing and marketing automation tools to understand customer behaviour and personalise marketing messages. The company also has offices in Turku (Finland), London and the US.

Commenting on the expansion to the Middle East, COO Adrian James (pictured) said: 'We are thrilled by the demand our platform is generating and can't be happier to expand into new territories. We will still be continuing business as usual, working mostly through our trusted partners, making sure all the implementations are running as smoothly as they possibly can. However, establishing our own physical presence in the region is vital for delivering high quality product and keeping our customers satisfied'.
