In the US, advertising, brand and pricing intelligence specialist Market Track has been sold to private equity firm Vista Equity Partners by its former owner Aurora Capital Group. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Headquartered in Chicago, Market Track offers subscription-based advertising, brand and pricing intelligence solutions in North America. Clients use its services to determine how competing retailers, products and brands are being advertised, priced and promoted both in-store and online.
According to a statement, the acquisition will begin the next phase of growth for Market Track by pairing the company's offer with Vista's investment and operating model for high-growth SaaS companies. Vista has previously been involved in the acquisition of a wide range of companies including agricultural data and analytics specialist AGDATA; event management and survey technology provider Cvent; and marketing software and solutions firms Marketo. Market Track itself has acquired two firms this year, native ad competitive intelligence specialist Brandtale and Ottawa-based pricing intell firm 360pi.
Dennis Moore (pictured), CEO of Market Track, comments: 'We are thrilled to be working with Vista Equity Partners to fuel the future growth of Market Track and are looking forward to a great partnership that will benefit our customers, our employees, and our industry. We are also thankful for the strong leadership and support from Aurora over the past five years and appreciate all they've done to prepare us for the next phase of our company's growth'.
