Cuebiq Launches 'First' Footfall Benchmarking Report

June 8 2017

US location data provider Cuebiq has released what it says is the industry's first report analyzing footfall benchmarks, to help marketers gauge how their ad campaigns perform against industry averages for off-line activities such as in-store visits.

Antonio TomarchioCuebiq provides 'geo-behavioral audiences' for cross-platform ad targeting, SaaS-based real-time campaign optimization and footfall attribution tools, and off-line location analytics. Last month the firm received an unspecified amount of new funding, which it will use to enhance its suite of tools for publishers and advertisers, and further develop its SaaS platform.

The new Footfall Attribution Benchmarks report breaks down industry averages by nine verticals: automotive, quick service restaurants (QSRs), retail, big box retailers, grocery stores, casual dining, financial services, entertainment, and travel. The report also gives vertical averages for measurement of the impact of ad exposure on in-store visits; the average daily visit at stores by category; footfall trends broken down by dwell time and most popular time of day for in-store visits; and details of specific brands that appeal to consumers the most.

CEO Antonio Tomarchio (pictured) commented: 'The ability to bridge online and offline consumer behavior and activities allows marketers to answer their most pressing questions such as how their advertising is driving consumers to stores, how much time they are spending in those stores, which consumers are most receptive to their messaging, and to which brands those consumers are loyal. This is why we felt it was critical to release a thorough analysis of what success looks like for footfall attribution'.
