comScore Drops CTO Role in Restructure

June 19 2017

comScore's Chief Technology Officer Michael Brown is to leave the company, as a restructuring exercise combines the technology and product teams into a group reporting to COO Cameron Meierhoefer - according to a filing.

Cameron MeierhoeferAfter leaving the role on July 7th, Brown will continue to assist the company as a consultant for three months, and in addition to consulting fees for this period will receive a severance equal to his current base salary of $330,480 for a period of 12 months following the separation date.

Meierhoffer (pictured) succeeded Greg Dale in the COO role in 2012, having joined the firm in 2001 as EVP Analytics. Before this, he worked for market research firm PC Data Inc as Head of Analytics, and prior to this spent several years in quant and qual social science research.

Following a tough year, comScore has been exceptionally busy in the second quarter of 2017, launching and rolling out a number of services (including free viewability measurement); reaching a $19m cash settlement with former shareholders of audience measurement firm Rentrak; and a week ago expanding its Board of Directors from seven people to twelve.
