In Australia, marcoms group WPP AUNZ has named industry veteran Rob McLachlan as Chief Executive Officer of its Data Investment Management group (DIM) - a position previously held by Ben Dixon.
WPP AUNZ was formed last year, following WPP's acquisition of a controlling stake in STW Communications. Agencies in its DIM group include Phuel, Human, Buchanan, Beyond Analysis, Kantar Millward Brown, Kantar TNS (Australia and NZ), Kantar Vermeer, Kantar Colmar Brunton (Australia and NZ), AMR and ORU.
McLachlan (pictured) has been with WPP AUNZ (and previously STW Group) for more than ten years, in a range of senior finance and operations roles. Prior to joining the group, he was Finance Director at ACNielsen for nineteen years, and CFO at AGB McNair. In his new role, he will oversee twelve agencies covering the research, training and change management sectors, while developing further cross-agency collaboration. At the time of going to press, DRNO was unable to find out more about Dixon's next career move.
