Ipsos Recruits in India and US

Ipsos has appointed Geeta Lobo as Executive Director and Head of Ipsos Bengaluru in India; while in the US, the firm's media and brand communication business Ipsos Connect has hired Michael Baer as SVP, Head of Audience Measurement Group (AMG).

Lobo joins with more than seventeen years' consumer research experience, the previous thirteen of which were spent at GfK India; latterly as a member of the management board and Head of the Innovation & Marketing Understanding practice. Prior to this, she was a Consultant at TNS. In her new role as part of the Ipsos India Leadership team, Lobo will report to CEO - Ipsos India, Amit Adarkar, who comments: 'Geeta will be responsible for building business for Ipsos in Bengaluru which is a clear growth market for Ipsos in India. She will provide strategic leadership to our Bengaluru-based clients across business and help us in building our presence and equity in Bengaluru'.

Ipsos Connect was formed in 2015 to replace legacy brands Ipsos ASI and Ipsos MediaCT. Baer (pictured) joins to lead and drive growth for the Affluent Intelligence Group, whose Ipsos Affluent Survey provides insight about the lives, attitudes, spending, and media habits of Americans with more than $125k of household income. He has more than 25 years' experience leading agency teams as an integrated account and client leader, and joins from full-service ad agency Laughlin-Constable, where as CMO he worked with clients on brand positioning, development, growth, and incubation initiatives. Earlier, he was EVP MD of Starcom, and he held the same title at Ammirati Puris Lintas.

Commenting on the appointment, Ipsos Connect President Peter Minnium said: 'Michael will leverage his extensive experience and skill set to help us evolve our product, capabilities and business opportunities, and to help our clients derive insights from the important affluent consumer target'.
