OnePoint to Offer AR Questions within Survey App

June 18 2018

Mobile survey solutions provider OnePoint Global has announced plans to offer Augmented Reality (AR) question types within its Survey App, and says it is the first to offer this option.

Doug MorrisUsers will be able to exploit the AR capabilities within Apple's iOS 11 and 12 mobile operating systems, as announced at the tech giant's developer conference earlier this month and available from August. OnePoint says the additions will 'maintain its position offering the world's most advanced and functionally rich market research app'. In the last fourteen months, the UK-based company's announcements have included the launch mobile survey solution In-App, which collects feedback from inside an existing customer app regardless of whether consumers are online or off-line; the free availability of its survey app development code to MR industry clients; and the introduction of a 'free' mobile toolkit including SMS invites, responsive surveys and a 'rapidly customizable, ready-to-use' survey app.

The AR functionality will build on scanning technology already built into the My Surveys App, which can store data from images and text, and can trigger surveys from keywords identified within photos, till receipts or barcodes to deliver personalised and dynamic surveys. Registered Apple Developers can already create Apps by using Apple's ARKit in combination with OnePoint Global's SDKs (Software Development Kits) to include Augmented Reality surveys, and CTO Doug Morris (pictured) says they will not need to be experts in 'the complex logic involved in surveys'. He comments: 'We offer the added reassurance that our Apps are designed to work reliably at scale and at speed and are fully supported and maintained'.

OnePoint says My Surveys 'will load twice as fast with the release of iOS 12 and will respond instantly', helping to make market research 'a far more enjoyable and engaging experience for respondents than ever before'.
