London-based digital consumer insight company GlobalWebIndex has appointed former Comscore exec Hugh McGoran as Senior Vice President of Revenue, North America, based in New York.

Hugh McGoranGlobalWebIndex, which maintains a global panel of more than 22 million connected consumers and provides audience profiling data across 45 countries, raised $40m in July in its first round of funding. The company has offices in New York and Los Angeles and in the past year, it has expanded its North American headcount from 19 to 39.

His appointment is part of the company's plan to double its North American business through investments in people and technology. Sebastian Hedencrona, Chief Revenue Officer, comments: 'We've achieved exponential growth across the globe and have ambitious plans to continue investing in the North American market with strategic hires, an expanded footprint on both the East and West Coast, and continued technology developments. Hugh will play an integral role in leading growth in the region, especially as we continue to innovate to meet the increased demand we've seen from independent agency and brand clients. We're excited to have him on board'.
