Kantar Names CMO and Senior Marketing Leaders

In London, WPP-owned Kantar has promoted Nathalie Burdet to the role of Chief Marketing Officer, while Ignasi Fernández replaces her as Global Marketing Leader for the Insights division. Additionally, Dionne Aitken joins the company as Global Marketing Leader for the Profiles division.

Nathalie BurdetBurdet (pictured) joined last September, having previously worked in the fintech sector for NEX Group as Head of Marketing and Brand Strategy; ICAP as Marketing Director; and Fundtech as Director of Regional Marketing. Earlier, she worked for Thomson Reuters as Head of Marketing and Communications EMEA for Global Accounts. In her new role, she joins the Kantar Board and replaces Mandy Pooler, who is retiring after thirteen years in the position. Pooler joined Kantar in 2006, after beginning her career as a Media Director at WPP's Ogilvy & Mather, before co-founding media and marketing services agency Mindshare (created through the merger of WPP-owned agencies Ogilvy & Mather and JWT) and serving as its UK CEO.

Fernández takes over Burdet's previous role, after leading marketing for Kantar's Worldpanel division, overseeing a team of 40 marketers across the world. Earlier, he spent seven years at TNS, latterly as Head of Corporate Communications. He is joined on Burdet's leadership team by Aitken, newly appointed as Global Marketing Leader for Kantar's Profiles (formerly Lightspeed) division. Most recently, Aitken served as Global Customer Marketing Director for Monotype, leading a cross-functional team focusing on full lifecycle marketing, and delivering customer engagement strategies for brands and agencies.

Commenting on the appointments, Kantar CEO Eric Salama said: 'Since joining Kantar in 2018, Nathalie has had a great impact on how we present ourselves to clients and ensuring a more valuable client experience. I look forward to her extending that impact across all of Kantar and bringing our new brand strategy to life.
