Experian Invests in PlaceIQ

Global information services company Experian has made an undisclosed 'strategic investment' in location intelligence firm PlaceIQ.

Headquartered in New York City, PlaceIQ offers location-based consumer insights, measurement and attribution, to help companies uncover opportunities across the customer journey. The firm recently extended a partnership with Comscore to launch a suite of solutions called Movie Lift, designed to help media buyers and sellers better understand the impact of TV, desktop and mobile marketing campaigns on driving consumers to the movies.

The new growth financing will allow PlaceIQ to scale its data operations to meet product demand and support future innovation. Under the terms of the agreement, its flagship data product LandMark will be incorporated into Experian's suite of data activation and measurement services. LandMark uses foot traffic patterns to provide a real-world view of the customer journey, and combined with Experian's solutions will help brands and agencies build audiences, activate campaigns across channels and measure campaign success.
