Illuminera Buys Singapore Agency DASS

Asia Pacific-based group Illuminera has announced the acquisition of Singapore-based digital and shopper marketing boutique DASS.

Founded in 2007 as a combined management consulting and market research solutions provider, Illuminera now has an international presence in Shanghai, Chengdu, Sydney, Melbourne and Singapore. Its offering includes strategic marketing, data empowered automatic marketing, algorithm driven media placement, growth strategy, super brand positioning, and product / business model innovation. In summer 2018 it acquired Australian financial services insights and consulting firm DBM.

The firm says its latest buy will expand its data empowered end-to-end marketing services to omni-channel shopper strategy and execution. DASS offers a combination of consulting, design and technology solutions, developing and executing insight-led shopper marketing programs.

DASS will continue to be led by founder and CEO Wayne Cowden (pictured), supported by former TNS exec Chris Riquier, now CEO of Illuminera International.

Illuminera CEO Paul Zhou says the DASS buy constitutes 'a notable and significant milestone for us', adding: 'Illuminera is expanding its footprint in APAC and strengthening the capability of integrated marketing.
