Illuminera and DBM to Merge

Asia Pacific-based strategy group Illuminera is to merge with Australian financial services insights and consulting firm DBM.

Illuminera, which was founded in 2007 as an insight-driven strategy consulting firm, describes its structure today as 'a collection of boutiques each with unique strengths and specializations', geared around helping clients to innovate and grow. It has offices in Shanghai, Sydney and Melbourne.

DBM was founded in 1992 by current CEO Dhruba Gupta and Director Maria Claridad, and will continue to be led by Gupta, supported by Illuminera's CEO International Chris Riquier. DBM offers specialist research services in the retail and business sector using syndicated and bespoke programs: specifically, its Consumer Atlas offers data on Australian consumers' behaviour and attitudes in regard to retail banking, insurance and wealth management; while its Business and Financial Services Monitor (BFSM) keeps the country's major financial institutions informed about the business market.

The merger brings together the firms' knowledge and capability in the fields of data analytics and insight based consulting into a group with more than 160 full-time consultants and annual revenue of more than 160 million RMB.
