Choice Modelling Partnership for Asia Pacific

TNS Australia has announced the formation of an exclusive partnership with consultant Chi Chiem - one of the foremost exponents of strategic choice modelling techniques in the Asia Pacific region.

The arrangement formalises TNS' current relationship with Chi, whose team will work alongside TNS' Advanced Methods Group, now consisting of seven dedicated specialists and providing national support to offices in Australia and the rest of Asia Pacific.

The technique measures the trade-offs consumers make between various product features when choosing, and helps companies to configure a product or service in a way that maximises market share, revenue or profitability.

Some of the latest features developed are:

  • A micro model facility to simulate different packages targeted at different market segments
  • Provision of total market aggregate values/volumes derived from differential segment offerings
  • An 'optimiser' module to compute optimum configurations against revenue and/or profitability targets
