Greenfield Online To Acquire OpinionSurveys.com

August 26 2004

Internet survey solutions provider Greenfield Online, Inc. has recently signed an agreement to acquire all 1.1m households from The Dohring Company's OpinionSurveys.com panel. This is expected to bring the size of Greenfield's Online panel to c.3.1m households and 8m individuals.

The all cash transaction, which is expected to close by October, is subject to certain closing conditions. Other assets acquired under the terms of the definitive agreement include certain profile information contained in the Dohring database, title to the domain names OpinionSurveys.com and OpinionSurvey.com and certain other associated intellectual property and goodwill. Greenfield Online will not assume any liabilities from The Dohring Company.

Greenfield President and CEO Dean Wiltse says the acquisition will also serve as a catalyst to further accelerate the company's growth. 'Our executive team identified OpinionSurveys.com because we have admired the organization's panel recruitment and retention capabilities, and we were impressed with the panel's activity metrics. Importantly, our panels are complementary with minimal overlap, and we already have the robust technology infrastructure in place to absorb a panel of this size or greater'.

The Greenfield Online panel is currently a 100% double opt-in Internet-based panel of survey respondents. The company is headquartered in Wilton, CT and has offices across the United States, as well as Toronto, Munich and London. Its web site is at www.greenfield.com . The Dohring Company was founded in 1986 and has operated OpinionSurveys.com since 1999.
