Phebi Adds AI-Generated Summaries

April 21 2023

London-based voice analytics firm Phebi, which already uses AI to identify nonconscious emotion, has added generative AI to summarize research results and enable additional interaction with them.

Mike PagePhebi's technology is used for voice-enabling market and survey research. Flagship product Phebi Insight offers qualitative data at scale; Phebi Detect SaaS was designed to make it easier to process audio files collected during online or phone studies; and the firm's Emotional Resonance Score (ERS) tracks emotional responses to a set of items or concepts, automatically comparing positive and negative responses and presenting the results in rank order.

The new version of Phebi offers AI-generated summaries of what people say in audios and videos, including those collected during in-depth interviews and other survey research, recorded at call centers, and posted on brand-specific, community and social media web sites. It also includes a window for further exploration of responses along with recordings of what was actually said, and scores of people's underlying nonconscious emotions.

Mike Page (pictured), co-founder and CEO, comments: 'Until now, it's been next to impossible to quickly get meaningful summaries of large data sets, especially those common to qual and CX work. Now, Phebi customers have the option to get AI-generated summaries that help them see the big picture more quickly. We combine AI-generated summaries with the ability to better understand people by enabling researchers to hear what they actually said and revealing their nonconscious emotions while they were speaking'.
