Circana Names President, Global Solutions

Circana, recently formed from the merger of consumer data and insights firms Information Resources Inc. (IRI) and The NPD Group, has appointed long-time Ford exec Amy Marentic as President, Global Solutions. She succeeds Nishat Mehta who is leaving after six years with the firm.

Amy MarenticUS-based Circana offers technology, advanced analytics, cross-industry data and expertise to help clients understand 'the complete' consumer, store, and share of wallet. Marentic (pictured) joins from Google, where she served as Director of Global Client Agency Services, leading the firm's partnerships with advertisers, including Ford Motor Company. Prior to this she spent 28 years at Ford, latterly as North American Product Line Director, Ford Icons, having earlier been the company's Marketing and Consumer Experience Director, Ford Autonomous Vehicles, responsible for developing brand, marketing and consumer experience to launch the company's first self-driving business.

Commenting on the appointment, CEO Kirk Perry, said: 'I am confident Amy is the ideal next leader for our Global Solutions business. Under Amy's direction, our Solutions team will continue to integrate, scale and innovate Circana's technology and data assets and bring our clients the most complete view of the consumer across industries, geographies, and channels'.

Mehta's next career move is not yet known. Perry adds: 'Nishat has been a tremendous partner and leader in this business, helping to elevate our solutions to deliver the best, most relevant and most complete insights to our clients. Nishat was instrumental in building our Media business to become the largest player in purchase-based media and positioning our organization for sustained success'.
