C-Suite Hire and Promotion for DoubleVerify

January 23 2024

Digital media measurement company DoubleVerify (DV) has promoted Jack Smith to Chief Innovation Officer, and brought in Alex Valle to fill Smith's previous role as Chief Product Officer.

Smith and ValleValle (pictured below) will oversee DoubleVerify's product suite, focusing on building and delivering solutions to optimize media investments, manage brand equity risk, and enhance campaign and creative performance. He joins after serving as CPO at digital identity specialist Onfido, leading its launch of six new products; and before this he was GM and Vice President of Product at Criteo and Head of Products for Google's Mobile Ads division.

Smith (pictured top) will continue to report to CEO Mark Zagorski and manage senior level relationships with key customers, identifying new product opportunities and driving thought leadership. A key element of this will be to ensure alignment between product development on the one hand, and customer needs and goals on the other.

Zagorski says the changes are 'significant milestones in DoubleVerify's growth journey'. He comments: 'These moves demonstrate our commitment to continuous, customer-centric innovation. Jack's expertise and deep client and market insight, combined with Alex's proven track record in product development, will fortify our leadership position as we continue to power superior outcomes for the world's most influential brands'.

The firm recently reported rapid growth, with Q3 2023 revenue up 28% to $144.0m; and last summer agreed to acquire AI-powered digital campaign optimization specialist Scibids Technology for around $125m
