Synovate Adds to Oncology Strength

March 30 2005

Synovate Healthcare has reached agreement to license longitudinal oncology data from IMPAC Medical Systems, a provider of software for use in cancer care and treatment. IMPAC will provide de-identified patient data from electronic medical records completed by clinicians and its National Oncology DatabaseTM.

Jackie Ilacqua, Senior Vice President and Executive Director of Synovate Healthcare's Global Tandem Oncology Monitor, says the arrangement 'brings together the strengths of Tandem, the largest and most representative oncology physician sample available in the US, with the significant patient record numbers and longitudinal analysis available through IMPAC data'.

The research agency will now be able to add supplements including epidemiology models, longitudinal and other analysis to its market-leading US Tandem Oncology Monitor. In return, according to Joe Jachinowski, President and CEO at IMPAC, the oncology community will get 'deeper market insights and understanding, leading to longer term benefits for cancer treatment in the US'.

Synovate's home on the web is at www.synovate.com , and IMPAC's at www.impac.com.
