Growth of Synovate Hispanic Panel

February 20 2006

Synovate says its US Hispanic-specific panel has grown and now covers more than 150,000 Hispanic individuals. Hispanic membership on its other research panels has also expanded.

By 2020, one out of every five Americans will be of Hispanic origin - the current figure is around one in seven.

Everett Hernandez, Senior VP and General Manager of Synovate's Diversity group points to 'the tremendous response by our clients seeking marketing insight into the underserved area of Hispanic research', since the panel's launch in October 2004 (www.mrweb.com/drno/news3498.htm ). 'However, quantities aren't nearly as important as the quality of the panel members or the expertise of the research staff utilizing them. Synovate will continue to focus its efforts on building and maintaining high quality panel solutions, not simply on trying to attain high member counts.'

Michalis Michael, head of ViewsNet, Synovate's online and panel research division, said there are plans in hand to provide 'robust panel solutions' for other growing 'Diversity populations' such as African Americans, Asians, and gays and lesbians.
