June 20 2006

Gregg Peterson, formerly Executive VP at Millward Brown, has joined Indian MR outsourcing company Ugam Solutions, with the same title. Peterson will be responsible for building and managing the company's international operations capabilities.

He brings with him over 21 years of experience in the market research industry. At Millward Brown he was responsible for North American operations, leading a team of 175 full time and 1000 part time staff; and was a member of the Global Operations Committee.

Sunil Mirani, Ugam's CEO, welcomes Peterson's 'vast experience in market research operations, and the customer perspective that he brings'. He adds: 'Ugam has achieved a 100% year-on-year growth over the past four years. This appointment is an important step as we aggressively seek to expand our portfolio of services within the Research & Analytics space, and enhance our delivery capabilities beyond the shores of India.'

Peterson himself comments: 'Over the past few years, India has performed spectacularly in the Market Research Outsourcing segment. India has the right blend of talent, technology and work culture to cater to the growing needs of customers across the globe. Market Research Outsourcing is poised to expand by leaps and bounds.'

Ugam has more than 500 employees in Mumbai, San Francisco and Chicago, and offers services including survey programming, online and telephone data collection, data cleaning & tabulation, advanced analytics, coding of open ended responses, report writing and panel support services.
