US provider OTX (Online Testing eXchange) has appointed David Shanker, previously of IRI, as its new COO and promoted Bruce Friend to President of Media and Entertainment Insights. The company is growing rapidly, rising to 22nd in the Honomichl Top 50 in just 6 years of operation.
OTX, which earnt over $30 million in revenue in 2005 and says it has ‘aggressive plans for continued growth’, conducts advanced online research in the entertainment, advertising and CPG arenas.
Shanker joins from Information Resources Inc., where he was President of Client Solutions for more than ten years, managing a team of over 540 sales, service and operations employees. In total he has over 25 years of market research, management and operations experience. He describes OTX as ‘the only company that truly integrates market research discipline with leading technology’, and adds: ‘I’m proud to join this stellar team as it helps clients navigate both traditional and emerging media.’
