Icon Added Value relaunched in South India

August 4 2006

Brand development and consulting firm Icon Added Value (IAV), part of WPP's Kantar division, has relaunched its offering in South India and appointed Praveen Ramachandra, Business Services Director, as head of the region based in Bangalore.

Ramachandra started his career with Icon Added Value's group company IMRB, where he worked for 5 years. He then joined another WPP company, Millward Brown, in Shanghai in 2002, and later moved to set up and head their Beijing office.

The announcement follows the appointment of Balachandran Ramiah as Country Manager earlier this year. Ramiah, who is based in Mumbai, comments: 'The economy in South India is buoyant, and both current and prospective clients in the South will benefit from Icon Added Value's knowledge and expertise. New business has started to come in, and we expect the office to expand quickly.'

The firm offers brand development and marketing insight services with a core service known as Brand Connections, based on the uncovering of consumers' true feelings about brands. It is online at www.added-value.com .
