Collins Joins MRI Team | November 14 2006 |

Research veteran Jim Collins has joined Mediamark Research Inc. (MRI) as Senior Vice President for Research. He spent the previous eight years at Scarborough Research, latterly as Senior VP of Information Systems.
Reporting to Executive VP and Chief Research Officer Dr. Julian Baim, he will focus primarily on new audience measurement initiatives, such as Issue Specific Accumulation, and data integration projects.
Before joining Scarborough, Collins worked for Simmons Market Research Bureau, becoming Manager of Software Development and creating the firm’s CHOICES system. He has a doctorate from Temple University and has taught at Temple, Baruch College, New York University and Trenton State University.
Baim says accurate media measurement is ‘getting more challenging each day’ but that the new addition means MRI ‘can now safely say we have one of the most experienced and sophisticated media research teams in the industry’.
