Greenfield-Ciao Opens for Business in China

Greenfield Online, through its subsidiary Ciao, has expanded its presence in the Asia Pacific region by adding Greenfield-Ciao in Shanghai to existing offices in Sydney, Australia and Gurgaon, India.

The new office will be headed by Andy Ellis, Senior VP and MD of Asia Pacific, who began his career with Greenfield Online in 2003 as VP Client Development and was then promoted to Senor VP of Global Operations. He will oversee both sales and operations for the Asia-Pacific market.

According to Ellis: 'The growing success story associated with the Asian markets is predicated on delivering high quality products at a reasonable price; which is exactly what Greenfield-Ciao is known for with its customers in North America and Europe.'

Last year, Greenfield-Ciao launched panels in Japan, South Korea and China (www.mrweb.com/drno/news5166.htm ), India (www.mrweb.com/drno/news 5793.htm ) and Europe, Latin America and Australia (www.mrweb.com/drno/news5034.htm ). Greenfield-Ciao also plans to launch new panels in Hong Kong and New Zealand by the end of September 2007.

Last week, Greenfield Online said it will defend itself against accusations made by a shareholder that the agency made 'false and misleading statements' about its business leading to artificially inflated share prices in 2005 (www.mrweb.com/drno/news7096.htm ).
