SSI Opens for Business in Ontario

September 14 2007

On Wednesday, US-based Survey Sampling International (SSI) celebrated the official opening of its new office in Canada. CEO Jim Follett says the new office will help local brands take better advantage of their market research.

The office will be headed by recently appointed MD Jim Ransom (www.mrweb.com/movers/app34.htm ), who joined from Alliance Data division ICOM, where for the past eight years he held senior sales and marketing positions. Prior to this, Ransom was with ACNielsen for 16 years in business development and retailer relationship roles.

Said Follett: 'SSI wants to expose marketers from other countries to the richness of the Canadian market and its consumers, and to introduce Canadian marketers to other countries through the use of SSI's 3.8 million engaged respondents.'

Guests at the launch were invited to a presentation given by Director of Global Knowledge Management Jackie Lorch, who outlined SSI's perspective on the new dimensions of quality in online panels.

In March, the firm added a Chinese panel to its portfolio of Internet panels in 19 countries (www.mrweb.com/drno/news6556.htm ). Its web site is at www.surveysampling.com.
