infoUK.com to Launch in January

Business and consumer data giant infoUSA, which owns Opinion Research Corporation (ORC), has announced it will be opening its new UK operation in Manchester in early January.

The venture to compile a database of addresses for every business in the UK was announced in September (www.mrweb.com/drno/news7342.htm ).

infoUK.com will operate as a completely separate entity from ORC International, apart from sharing its IT support and servers, taking offices in the same building overlooking Manchester United's Old Trafford football ground, and making use of the experience of its MD Richard Cornelius prior to the appointment of its own MD.

There are currently two other members of staff working on the project, with a headcount of 50 planned as soon as the office is fitted out and functional. Details of the company's new General Manager will be announced shortly.
