Cable to Acquire Precision Opinion

In the US, recent MR industry entrant Cable & Co Worldwide (CCWW) has agreed to purchase Precision Opinion, which provides market research services to the entertainment industry and political polling for the government.

CCWW is currently negotiating a definitive purchase agreement, which will include payment of approximately five times Precision's 2009 EBITDA for the firm.

Gary Stein, CCWW President noted: 'An audit of the Precision results for the six months ended December 31, 2007, is currently underway, and we look forward to another announcement on this matter soon.'

Last summer, Stein announced CCWW would be acquiring marketing and research companies as part of its restructuring strategy (www.mrweb.com/drno/news7050.htm ). The firm then made two purchases: consumer and B2B agency Quantum Research Services, and New Jersey-based customer loyalty and sales incentive firm INmarketing Group (www.mrweb.com/drno/news7556.htm and www.mrweb.com/drno/news7603.htm ).

Las Vegas-based Precision has a Web CATI equipped call centre which includes speed/preview/predictive diallers for both inbound and outbound calling, public opinion and strategic polling and data collection. The firm is online at www.precisionopinion.com .
