Experian Opens Office in Bulgaria

May 19 2008

Information solutions giant Experian has opened a new international operations centre in Sofia, Bulgaria, where it plans to employ more than 120 people by the end of the year.

Around 100 of the new staff will be IT professionals working for the firm's international Decision Analytics and Bulgarian credit bureau businesses.

Elio Vitucci, Managing Director of the company's Decision Analytics division, explained the move: 'Our decision to establish an operations centre in Sofia was based on the country's highly-qualified IT professionals, the fast-growing economy as well as its location which is perfect for servicing our client base.'

The firm already has close ties with Bulgarian universities, and says it is hoping to employ a number of graduates for its Sofia operation, offering them the opportunity to experience working for a global company.

Experian provides decision analytics, marketing services and credit services to clients in more than 65 countries. In February, it launched a data intelligence application called Attribute Toolbox, to enable clients to create predictive assessments based on multiple data sources.
