Greenfield Finishes Survey Solutions Integration

July 10 2008

Greenfield Online has completed a project to combine its Internet survey solutions business into one global survey platform for managing its panels and processing its clients' survey projects in North America, Europe and Asia.

This has involved merging the firm's Unified Panel System (UPS) which manages the Greenfield Online/Ciao Surveys worldwide panel databases, with its Real-Time Samplingcapability which processes the company's global survey projects. It also includes the company's recently launched patent pending Duplicate Response Detection technology.

The restructure, aimed at improving the company's ability to meet clients' project delivery requirements worldwide, was first announced last November.

President and CEO Albert Angrisani said the UPS platform has improved his firm's ability to captures numerous member profiles, produce more targeted samples, and streamline its sampling process. In addition, the platform enables the company to perform real-time analysis of project feasibility to help project directors schedule project delivery more efficiently. He paid tribute to members of the teams who had made the project happen, led by David St Pierre, Global CTO; Hugh Davis, EVP and co-founder; and Alberto Abisso, MD, Ciao Surveys.

According to Abisso, with the ability to more closely monitor survey processes and capacity, the firm is expecting to improve project cycle times to better meet client delivery requirements.

In June, it was announced that Greenfield would be sold to investment firm the Quadrangle Group for approximately $426m. Investors Springhouse Capital and Pennant Capital have since claimed that the figure undervalues the company, a view in itself disputed by other analysts.
