New MD for Nielsen NRG

Nielsen's film and home entertainment specialist NRG (National Research Group) has appointed veteran film marketing executive Robert Schulze as Managing Director, International.

Schulze most recently worked at Paramount Vantage, where as Executive VP Distribution, he oversaw all aspects of the art house label's film sales and distribution. During his 25 years in the industry, he has also held positions with USA Films, October Films, Warner Bros, Orion and Fine Line.

He joins Nielsen NRG in December and will be based in its London office, reporting to Senior VP and GM Marc Lagrois.

'Rob has a proven track record with major film companies and brings a strong understanding of the services we offer, having used them himself,' Lagrois said. 'His experience brings a unique perspective that will help us develop the next generation of Nielsen NRG offerings.'

Based in Los Angeles, New York and London, Nielsen NRG offers data, analysis and consulting to the filmed entertainment and home entertainment sectors.

Earlier in the year, the firm became part of Nielsen's BASES division, which provides new product optimization, marketing plan simulation capabilities and sales forecasting.
