Phoenix Appoints MR Veteran to Board

In the US, market research firm Phoenix Marketing International (PMI) has appointed Dr Martin Lautman as a member of its Board of Advisors and as a Consultant.

Lautman will provide direction and guidance to PMI on the development of its global offerings, particularly in the areas of consumer packaged goods and quick service restaurants. He will also assist with the development of PMI's strategic business plan including the launch of new products.

Lautman has worked in the market research industry for more than 25 years and is the former Chairman and CEO of GfK Custom Research North America and Senior Managing Director of ARBOR Research; the Philadelphia-based company he sold to GfK. He is currently a member of multiple public and private Boards of Directors and Advisors and also serves as a Venture Partner in several early stage venture capital funds.

In addition, Lautman has also been a visiting Lecturer on marketing, marketing research and advertising at The Cornell University Hotel School, Columbia University and The Wharton School. He received his BA in Political Science from Brooklyn College and his MS and PhD in Mathematical Psychology from The Pennsylvania State University.
