Synovate's Magnificent Six Ready For Action

Synovate has announced the appointment of six senior executives in the Americas as part of the company's program to accommodate future growth. Four of the executives are new to Synovate. The other two are veteran staff members who have been given new responsibilities.

Gustavo Alvarez, formerly Vice President of Latin American Business Development for Ipsos, has joined Synovate's expanding Latin American team in the Miami office as Vice President, Regional Business Development Director. He will direct the division's business development initiatives in Latin America and the US ethnic markets. Before Ipsos Alvarez, who has over 18 years' experience working in Latin America, held similar positions at Research International and PSI Global.

David Myhrer has joined the company as Vice President for Synovate Motoresearch in Detroit, where he will service Detroit-based automotive clients at both manufacturers and agencies. Myhrer was previously the Sao Paulo-based MD of Goldfarb Consultants, where he serviced Ford, Toyota, Fiat, and DaimlerChrysler.

Leslie Yee has been hired as Senior Account Director for the Eastern Region of the US, to be based in Boston. Yee previously held managerial posts at InsightExpress, Jupiter Media Metrix and Yankelovich Partners.

Alex Spencer will be based in LA as Vice President of Sales for ViewsCast, a technology company specializing in automated call center satisfaction monitoring and recently acquired by Synovate. He brings over 15 years of sales and management experience in telecommunications and IT, having served in similar capacities at MCI WorldCom, Siemens and Expanets.

Deborah Gonderil has been promoted from Senior VP in the Miami office to head of Synovate Diversity, the division specializing in marketing research on ethnic, minority and lifestyle segments of the US population. In addition, Gonderil will continue to handle research for key global clients. Gonderil has been with Synovate for over 12 years, working in the Hispanic, African-American, Asian, Youth, Senior, Gay and Lesbian markets.

After nine years in the IT division Dave Schafer has become Synovate's IT Director, based in Chicago and responsible for managing and leveraging their technology development and resources to grow the company's business.

Robert Philpott, CEO of Synovate Americas, says that after a successful first half year the business is poised for growth: 'The addition of these six talented marketing experts to our senior management team will help ensure that our company has the vision, values and leadership to achieve the ambitious goals we have set for the year ahead and into the future'.
