In the UK, qual specialist The Sound Research has appointed Alexander Holmes as Senior Research Manager.

Founded in 2007 by Ian Pierpoint and Emma Richmond, The Sound Research is headquartered in Vancouver with additional offices in London, Toronto, New York and Chicago.

Holmes joins the London office from Northstar Research Partners, where he worked as Research Manager on both qual and quant projects. Prior to this, he was a Research Executive at specialist media, technology and communication agency Essential Research, and he was a Field Researcher at The Campaign Company. After graduating with a BA (Hons) in Design from Goldsmith and MSc in Design Engineering from Middlesex University, Holmes worked as an Engineer for Axon Automotive for nearly three years.

His former Essential Research colleague Stuart Knapman, who is Head of The Sound’s London office, comments: ‘Alex is one of the most gifted young researchers in London. His background as an engineer and designer, together with his natural inquisitiveness, helps him bring a fresh perspective to each project. He's a really great addition to our team.’
