UK research consultancy Simpson Carpenter has appointed Kim Assender as Research Executive in its Pharmaceutical and Biotech division.

Wimbledon-based Simpson Carpenter specialises in providing insight to pharma, auto, retail and tech, media, and telecoms clients in the UK and further afield. Its Pharma team works closely with in-house colleagues specialising in advanced analytics, semiotics and consumer research, in order to learn from other industries and other techniques which are not usually employed in specialist pharma research.

Assender (pictured) joins from Kantar Health, where she worked for the past two years, most recently as Research Executive specialising in multi-country projects. Her appointment follows that of Daniel Blake who joined the agency last month as AD, after seven years at Kantar Health.

In her new role, Assender will work across a wide range of projects spanning product lifecycle as well as different therapeutic arenas and subsectors within pharma, biotech and diagnostic industries. Head of Healthcare Anna Sawka explains: ‘Our Pharma division is developing fast - and into new areas - and we need fresh, ambitious people like Kim to help us fuel that development. Her agility and her previous international experience will help us find new applications for our latest digital techniques in the pharma world.’
